Adults

We’re here to encourage each other in faith, discover the gifts God has given each of us, and share the joy, challenge, and mission of living in Christ. Grow and serve through prayer, Bible study, small group and class interactions, leadership and outreach opportunities, and more.

Classes

Each Sunday morning before the worship service, we gather to study the Bible and learn from one another about being a disciple, reaching out, how to navigate various life stages, or other topics that intersect with faith. The year is divided into quarters, with new classes, topics, and leaders every three months. Current class offerings>

Church Library

Reading, nurturing the mind and soul, is a vital tool for growing in knowledge and devotion to Jesus. Our church library is stocked with everything from picture books to adult nonfiction, DVDs to periodicals, and it’s one of the ways we share together.

Life Groups

Often intergenerational, life groups care for one another, apply God’s Word to their lives, and reach beyond the circle of the group. They are an important way in which we discover the love of God and share it together. Some meet in homes, others in the church building, and most gather about twice a month — creating opportunities to develop meaningful relationships that go far beyond the Sunday morning handshake.

Men’s Discipleship

Through a variety of avenues — including participation in a local men’s softball league and regular Sunday morning men’s classes — Dillsburg BIC Men’s Ministries focus on the spiritual and practical enrichment of men both in the congregation and those in our community.

Prayer Team

Prayer isn’t just a formality; it’s how we hear, and talk to, our living God. We join together to pray in a variety of venues, including intercessory prayer meetings on Wednesday nights, larger concerts of prayer, and teams focused on praying for specific needs. For individuals or couples in need of healing (physical, emotional, spiritual), there are also healing prayer groups.

Shalom Ministries Team

As people who “seek peace and pursue it” (1 Peter 3:11), we believe it’s important to equip our congregation with tools to nurture inner peace, listen, resolve conflicts, forgive, and reconcile. The Shalom Ministries Team also encourages the congregation to participate in service opportunities that support social justice, and facilitates events that uphold the value of all human life and living a life of nonviolence.

Women’s Discipleship

Special events throughout the year — Ladies’ Bible study, Sunday morning classes, and the Secret Pal program — provide wonderful opportunities to support and learn from other women, while forming lasting friendships.
